Dear humans,

Okay, I’ve been dragging my feet on this one! I’m sorry for the delay! Truthfully, I had to refilm it, because I was asking myself the same question we are all asking here: How DO you start a yoga class from the belly?

If you’re new to this series, welcome to the final installment of “Creative Class Openings” Series. This is Part Five: Opening Your Class from Prone (Laying on Your Stomach).

In this five part series for paid subscribers, I’ll share with you my favorite ways to open a yoga class. In each post I provide a video of the options I like to use in my classes. I’ll also provide some guidance on why you might choose these different variations.

If you missed the first four sections here is where you can find them:

  • Starting your class from seated

  • Starting your class from supine (on your back)

  • Starting your class from child’s pose

  • Starting your class from standing

With this series, you’ll be well equipped and inspired to teach a creative yoga class right from the opening breath.

If you’re ready to move on, let’s explore a really interesting place to start class: Prone (the belly!).
